.......I did not realize what the default settings were for everything and I have had everything set to "not allowed' since August.  no wonder no one seemed interested.  Thanks for this tutorial.  I'm a dumbass.  lol

Heh it's okay. I understand why dA would set the folders to 'not allowed' as default. (You might create a new folder and not have anyone submit stuff it it right away in case there are more changes you need to do).

But it kind of sucks that there's no hints that one still needs to edit that stuff.

Yeah, that would have been useful lol

Is inviting many members using the invite button considered spamming?
rooteh Featured By Owner Mar 7, 2014  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Mmm I'd be careful with that. I don't know if you can be reported for spamming for that/if the staff would see that as spamming, but it can still annoy some people. I personally usually decline group invites by default.

If you want to let people know about your group, it might be better to just send requests to add their art to your galleries. If they're interested, they can still join your group.

I'm the founder and admin for the group, and I always add people's art to the group and only invite them after I've finished adding relevant things from their galleries, thank you for the advice<3
